Sterilization

Your comfort, health, and safety is our primary concern. That’s why we take significant measures to protect our patients and staff. High levels of dental sterilization are practiced to provide you with the highest quality of care in the cleanest possible environment.

State of the art practices and protocols in cleaning dental instruments and dental clinic sterilization are closely followed to ensure our practice is meticulously cleaned and completely safe.

We take hygiene and safety seriously

Our staff is trained in protocols advised by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Their recommendations are incorporated into our daily routine.

The latest dental sterilization machines and equipment are utilized, including dental sterilizers, autoclave dental instruments, and steam sterilizers. Cleaning dental instruments with these machines kills bacteria, viruses, and germs through pressure, steam, and heat.

We ensure our clinic is made safe by:

Dental tool sterilization

Instruments we use that cannot be discarded are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each use. We follow the process below to ensure the proper sterilization of dental instruments:

Once cleaned, packaged, and sterilized, all instruments are stored safely until ready for use. This careful sterilization of dental instruments leaves a sparkling smile the only concern during your visit.

Use of disposable materials when possible

Most materials we use are disposable, including gloves, face shields, masks, and gowns, as well as gauze, brushes, and floss. These items are safely discarded after each use.

Our staff is trained in best practices using and handling disposable materials, making sure they are stored, used, and disposed of properly.

Our infection control in dentistry promise

We are committed to providing you with the safest possible environment. Our staff undergoes training in dental sterilization equipment, infection control in dentistry, OSHA infection control, and safety practices every two years to ensure the most current approaches are being used.

Our procedures are regularly updated following the direction of the American Dental Association and the CDC. Have questions? We’ve got answers. Our team can provide you with additional information and details regarding the steps our clinic takes to protect you and your family from bacteria, diseases, viruses, and infections.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
